Former Nepal Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal's son Prakash Dahal died of a cardiac arrest at Khatmandy on November 19. He was 36.
Prakash Dahal, secretary to his father and also a central member of the Communist Party of Nepal-Maoist-Centre, was rushed to the Thapathali-based Norvic International Hospital at 5.50 a.m. Doctors pronounced him dead at 5.59 a.m, reports the media.
In a press meet, doctor J.P. Jaiswal said Prakash Dahal was dead three hours before he was even brought to the hospital.
"His body was cold and there was no pulse. In such case, there is no need to conduct any post mortem of the body," Jaiswal added.
Meanwhile, the former Prime Minister has left for Kathmandu from Jhapa where he was attending an election campaign for the upcoming first phase of the provincial and parliamentary polls, The Himalayan Times reported.
